What does conservative Fox News political analyst Angela McGlowan have in common with Reverend "God DAMN the U.S.K.K.K. of A." Jeremiah Wright? Besides skin color, they both believe that it is possible to correct the "mistakes of the past". Her words during a television interview this morning echo the Black Liberation Theology teachings of Dr. James Cone, which dictates that true salvation can only come as a group, by overwhelming the "oppressors".Dr. Cone states that "Whether the American system is beyond redemption we will have to wait and see. But we can be certain that black patience has run out, and unless white America responds positively to the theory and activity of Black Power, then a bloody, protracted civil war is inevitable."
The true irony? On this day the Martin Luther King, Jr. memorial is being dedicated. These teachings are the antithesis of what he preached! He looked to the future in which his kids would be judged "by the content of their character, not the color of their skin".
