Oprah's Outrage

Many of you may have heard that the arguably RICHEST, MOST SUCCESFUL Black Woman on the planet was dissed by a Swiss boutique shopgirl when she asked to look at a $38,000 purse. Oprah went on several talk shows alluding to how the boutique shopgirl looked DOWN HER NOSE at the RICHEST, MOST SUCCESSFUL Black Woman on the planet, snidely suggesting that the RICHEST, MOST SUCCESSFUL Black Woman on the planet couldn't possibly afford that handbag.

Oprah could have easily explained to the clerk who she was and that she could buy the ENTIRE DAMN STORE if she wanted to...but was just interested in that one handbag. For a reason to be disclosed below, she chose not to.

Oprah could have easily asked to speak to the manager on duty and said the same. For a reason to be disclosed below, she chose not to.

Oprah could have easily handed the clerk her Uranium MasterCard and said, just run it...if it's approved, I'll take the purse. For a reason to be disclosed below, she chose not to.

My friends, those who regularly read my blog (both of you) know that I have ardently praised Ms. Winfrey in previous posts for her fame and success...achieved by NOT SUBSCRIBING to exactly what she is claiming here...the mantle of VICTIMHOOD.

My take on it is that the RICHEST, MOST SUCCESSFUL Black Woman on the planet was unrecognized by this poor boutique shopgirl. Her outrage stemmed from being unrecognized, and she is spinning it to be all about her skin color. After all, she wasn't recognized because...gasp...y'all look all the same to us white folk.

Oprah played the race card because she could. After all, if the RICHEST, MOST SUCCESSFUL Black Woman on the planet is denied the opportunity to purchase a $38,000 purse...then what chance do you poor schmucks on the Liberal plantation have to achieve anything on your own...just like she did?
